CCR Question #4 Draft

To incorporate technology I used many new applications that I have never used before this such as publisher, adobe indesign, adobe photoshop, and blogger.  I also used my iPhone xr along with a new canon rebel t7 camera that I have never used before. This camera allowed me to change settings on my camera and even go custom so I could set my own lighting and things like that. To get a layout I started with publisher it was a really easy to use application I completed my rough draft on that app. I then started to use adobe indesign because it was harder to use with way more options to choose from that could help me better my magazine. I used different fonts, crop tools, stretch tools, the columns that can be added and many other things that publisher could not do. I also used adobe photoshop to edit my cover picture which helped give it an eye-catching look which was fun to use because I've never used it before. I went onto photoshop and did the recommended editing and then went to

CCR Question #3 Draft

My production skills have gotten pretty good since I took this class and had to do this project. I have learned how to work a new camera and not just my phone camera and through this I get better pictures along with better quality and it also helps in the feature because I will not be limited to just using my phone. For my pictures I did go out and buy a camera because I started to really like taking pictures. I also gained some organization skills such as time management. Five days a week me and my partner worked on a section of our magazine coordinating our house design and how we wanted everything laid out. At the beginning of this project I started scrambling for a genre of magazine and using my phone to take pictures. I knew nothing about media and I didn't know how to use technology well other than browsing the internet. I now know how to export pictures, use a nice camera, use different applications and how to work in a group while still getting my things turned in.

CCR Question #2 Draft

Our marketing and distribution plan would be successful to our target audience because we have multiple platforms to use Instagram has people ages 18-40 who regularly use it which our account can be easily accessed and followed. This allows a good amount of audience to view what Getaway Travel has to offer. our website with multiple option for subscription targets people 30 and up which allows for people to get their magazines sent to their email or door. This is great for people who do not use social media. For the people who do not use internet our magazine would be in store which also targets people 30 and up. Many of the travel magazine companies I researched also used they methods and have great success with doing so like Sunset and Nation Geographic Travel. All of these options allow for a wide range of audience to engage in our product. Traditional distribution for travel magazines would be to have a producer whole sales and a retailer which we would have but I would also plan t

CCR Question #1 Draft

One thing I used that other companies used for branding techniques was the title of my magazine. Many of the titles are big bulky fonts for the title mine being Getaway Travel I decide to follow in those footstep because it allows readers to be able to identify what type of magazine it is and easily pin point it is the brand Getaway Travel. For the subtitles on my magazine naming of the beaches I did not follow the normal conventions I used a handwriting font and most travel magazines use fonts that follow the title font. I did this because it looked better on my magazine with the cover picture, the font I used matches the astetic qualities of my picture which is appealing to the eye. For my table of contents I followed the conventional table of contents for travel magazines. My table of contents I placed the one photo in the corner and had the content and brief overview of what is going to be talked about in that feature. I also put the month of the magazine issue which is used in man

Q3 submission

From my original cover the changes I made included using some Photoshop to edit my original picture to make it brighter, and have more contrast. In Indesign to edit my cover I changed my font colors and style because it looked better once I had edited my picture. The title I kept the same font I had but I also made it bigger and bolder along with making the navy more dull. The table of contents I changed the most. I continued to use Publisher instead of using Indesign. I made some of the subtitles bold along with adding a little description of what the articles would include. I made one big picture instead of having three smaller pictures. For the two page article I used Indesign and I made it a two page spread. I also changed the subtitles to one color that complemented the dark ocean color. I justified the text and made columns.

Revision of Table of Contents

This is my updated table of contents. My previous table of contents was very bland and did not have enough writing on it and the line up for the pictures was very unprofessional looking. To better my table of contents I decided to add a month at the top which created a carefree lifestyle feeling. I left the "contents" color and font the same along with all the other fonts the same. I bolded the headlines. The categories I also kept the same but made the font smaller. I took away all my other pictures I previously had on the contents and decided to make just one big picture.
